Business Website
Strategy, design and development
PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
The sample business had several useful services but the website did not communicate them clearly. Important information was spread across different sections and visitors had to work too hard to understand where to go next.
The design also needed to work better on mobile devices, where the original navigation and page hierarchy were difficult to use.
The project therefore focused on simplifying the experience rather than simply changing the colours and visual styling.
Unclear messaging, scattered content and a weak conversion path.
The project was planned around a small set of clear objectives rather than trying to improve everything at the same time.
Explain the business and its services more clearly
Create a stronger and more logical page structure
Improve the experience on mobile devices
Make enquiries easier to find and complete
The design and development process focused on clarity first, with visual styling supporting the underlying structure.
Group the information into logical sections so visitors could quickly understand the company's services and capabilities.
Simplify navigation and create clearer routes from the homepage to important service and contact pages.
Rework the layouts so the website remained easy to read and interact with across phones, tablets and desktop screens.
Implement the pages using a lightweight front-end structure with reusable components and maintainable code.
A clearer introduction to the company, services and primary calls to action.
Dedicated pages explaining each major service in greater detail.
A more approachable company story with supporting trust information.
Clear contact options and a simpler path for visitors who were ready to make an enquiry.
The technology was kept intentionally straightforward so the website could remain lightweight and maintainable.
A more structured website with clearer messaging, stronger navigation and a more consistent responsive experience.
The redesigned experience made the main services easier to discover and created clearer routes toward contacting the business.
The layout was also designed with future expansion in mind, allowing additional service pages and content to be added without restructuring the entire website.
The metrics and project details on this sample case study are intentionally placeholders and should be replaced with the real results when the project is published as an actual portfolio entry.
One of the main lessons from this example is that a redesign does not have to mean adding more content or more visual elements. Sometimes the biggest improvement comes from making the existing information easier to understand.
